Epoxy ferrite intermediate paint
1. Product Composition:
The two-component epoxy mica iron intermediate paint is composed of epoxy resin, mica iron oxide, additives, solvents and polyamide resin.
II. Product Features:
It has good adhesion to zinc-rich primer and zinc or aluminum spray on steel, and good shielding protection. It has excellent alkali resistance, water resistance, wear resistance and high mechanical properties. It has good interlayer adhesion with the subsequent paint.
III. Product Applications:
It can be used as an intermediate layer and sealing coating for high-performance rust-proof coatings such as epoxy zinc-rich primer and inorganic zinc-rich primer to enhance the interlayer adhesion and protective properties of the entire coating. It can also serve as a sealing coating for metal zinc or aluminum spray coatings on steel surfaces. Additionally, it can be directly applied as a rust-proof primer on sandblasted steel surfaces.

5. Supporting paints:
The first process includes: epoxy zinc-rich primer, Epoxy Primer; the second process includes: various color epoxy magnetic paint, various color chlorosulfonated polyethylene, chlorinated rubber, polyurethane, acrylic, Acrylic Polyurethane Topcoat, etc.
VI. Construction Steps:
Step 1: Substrate preparation
1. As primer: The steel surface must be cleaned of oil, dust, and loose oxide layers. It should also undergo shot blasting or sandblasting to meet the Swedish rust removal standard Sa2.5.
Note: Sa2.5 standard: Thorough abrasive spraying to completely remove rust and oxide scale. After dust removal, the steel surface exhibits a near-white metallic luster with only minor surface imperfections.
2、For intermediate coating: apply the intermediate coating 24 hours after the primer (at 25°C).
Step 2: Painting process
1. Before painting, mix the paint slurry thoroughly. Then, according to the required amount for application, combine the paint slurry with the curing agent in the specified ratio. After 20 minutes of curing, proceed with the application.
2. The prepared paint must be used within 8 hours at 25℃.
3. Ratio:
High-pressure airless spraying-Paint: Curing agent: Diluent =100:15:2-5
Air Spraying-Paint: Curing Agent: Diluent=100:15:30
4. When the primer is inorganic zinc-rich, the intermediate coat must be applied after a 48-hour interval at 25°C.
7. Construction Environment:
1. The temperature of the steel plate to be painted should not exceed 50℃. The ambient temperature for painting should be between 10℃ and 35℃. If the temperature drops below 10℃, the curing reaction between epoxy paint and curing agent will slow down, making it unsuitable for application.
2. The substrate temperature must be at least 3℃ above the dew point, and the ambient humidity should not exceed 80%.

9. Precautions:
1. The Star Original Epoxy Paint must be diluted with its exclusive diluent.
2. When the construction temperature drops below 10℃, the curing reaction slows down and drying time increases. Therefore, the temperature should be maintained above 15℃.
3. Construction is not recommended under conditions of rain, fog, snow, direct sunlight, or humidity exceeding 80%.
4. The paint film is not resistant to outdoor sunlight and prone to flaking; apply a matching topcoat promptly.
10. Storage, Transportation, and Shelf Life:
1. The product should be stored in a well-ventilated and dry place, and should be protected from direct sunlight. In summer, appropriate cooling measures should be taken when the temperature is too high.
2. During transportation, protect the product from rain and direct sunlight.
3. The product has a shelf life of 12 months. During storage, the packaging must remain unopened and meet storage conditions. After the expiration date, the product may be inspected according to the specified items in the product standards. If the results meet quality requirements, the product may still be used.
11. Safety and Environmental Protection Notice:
1. This product is flammable. Ensure proper ventilation and take necessary protective measures during application.
2. If the skin is stained with paint, wash it immediately with soap or other cleaning agents and plenty of water.
3. The disposal of waste paint and packaging materials must comply with local environmental regulations.
